Book Therapy
Have you got a head full of stories and want them to be told but are unsure where to begin? Have you considered Book Therapy?
Book Therapy is a haven where you can rave about the ideas floating about your noggin while hanging out with me. I will teach you the skills I developed by publishing my first novel when I was sixteen years old and all I’ve learned since then.
Together, we can work to get your stories out of your head and into the world, from the first scribbly scrawl in your notebook to the sublime printed manuscript. Book Therapy will give you the freedom and confidence to weave your woeful or wonderful tales and make them real and readable.
Come and join my guild of authors, where we will hone your writing craft. In these online sessions, you will learn to develop your characters from a name on a page to fantastic heroes or compelling villains you love to hate. We’ll scale the mountains of world-building and traverse the treacherous seas of writer’s block. Bring me your ideas, wherever they reside, in a packed-out journal, on the corner of a restaurant napkin or in the dusty recesses of your mind. Come along and cosy up with blankets and tea and tell me some stories.
Author Tools
In the Guild of Authors, everyone needs a set of tools. The writing, however important, only requires a pen in a briefcase in the world of scribes. For success and fulfilment in your work, you will need the rest of the instruments to craft your masterpiece. Here in my toolbox, if you will, are; all the devices I’ve used, books I’ve read and small sources of inspiration that have built my worlds and my business too! Let me show you the fantastical lands built by these stories. Let them draw the imagination from your mind and forge them into glorious words on a page, marvellous front covers and an audience that will never forget.
About the author
MJ lives in Devon, UK. Along with her studies, she spends her time sitting in a coffee shop, writing day and night, and escaping to fictional worlds as a substitute for therapy. MJ finds solace in her stories and loves to share them with her friends and family. She cannot wait to share the rest of them with you too.
She published Dormant Forces in 2021, the first book in her epic series The Last Mortal. The long-awaited sequel, ‘Sleeping Shadows’ is out very soon, and the third instalment, ’Waking War’ is in the works, so stay tuned for exciting updates!
Annoying bumps in the road have delayed this series from crossing the finish line, but MJ is committed to getting it there, driven by the love received from the fans of Dormant Forces. MJ has always wanted to write the fantasy book series of her dreams, and fingers crossed, her readers will come to see it as theirs.
MJ is self-published under her own company, Stone Soup Media. She plans to expand this in the coming years into something few have seen before.
